This is a series of illustration works based on the documentary fire of love.
The documentary follows the lives and careers of daring French volcanologists Katia and Maurice Krafft, who ultimately die in the 1991 Mount Unzen eruption, they're a couple of volcanologists.
They took precious images of volcanoes in order to draw attention to them.
So my story is to imagine a parallel world where they become two dolphins in a volcano and they see the camera they have used in the lava, which seems a little familiar, but ultimately don't recall any of it and happily swim off into the distance.Katia and Maurice Krafft have said in interviews that they took images of the volcano in order to draw the attention of the government to the volcano and to avoid the continued loss of human life in eruptions. It made me think of dolphins saving humans too, so I imagine they would be two dolphins in another world.
